Guv'nor Time Trial
Nick rode his Guv'nor in a 5 mile time trail, completing it in 13 minutes and 40 seconds. He finished 14th out of 26 and averaged 21.95mph.
Nick says... "What's interesting is that when I rode the same course on my carbon Trek 5200 (standard set-up, no aero bars) I was only 24 seconds faster: a difference of just 3%, despite the 70-year age gap between their respective designs, and The Guv'nor's weighing more than twice as much and having 85% fewer gears. I think I'll take English engineering over American marketing every time from now on."
