Pashley Cycles is proud to be featured at The Birmingham Made Me Design Expo which is taking over Millennium Point from 6th-21st June. It is a giant, interactive exhibition showcasing the best products, design and innovation produced in Birmingham and the Midlands with everything from the latest Bond car to the producer of the whistles used on the Titanic.

It is a wonderful event that gives great insight into what is produced in our region, with some things that you would never have guessed!

Bid for a unique Tweed Run Bicycle (with Pashley accessories and 2 Tweed Run tickets)!

In order to celebrate the 5th Birthday of the Tweed Run, Pashley Cycles, who have been supporting the ride since its inception, are proud to offer a very special one-off Pashley bike.

Styled around our classic ladies Princess with a touch of lace pattern on the seat tube and fork top (yes, it has its own garter!), this subtle unique ladies bike echoes the Tweed Run sentiment of reserved grace with the robust quality typical of Pashley bicycles. Only one bicycle of this type (with 20” frame) is being produced and comes with a Pashley Saddle Satchel and Basket Tote.

Pashley are donating this bike to be auctioned to raise funds for the CTC; an historic and important charity who work tirelessly to advocate safe, sustainable and happy cycling.

Note: The bike also comes with an opportunity for you and a friend to join Pashley as guests at the Tweed Run if you have not already secured a place and if you would like, you can collect the bike on the day to take part in this very special event.

The Pashley Britannia and Pashley Guv’nor have taken up residence in the V&A store window with a backdrop from Herb Lester’s ‘An Uncle’s Guide to London’.

The V&A have a free ‘Eat, Ride, Sleep, Repeat’ event on late this Friday (29th March) from 18.30-22.00. Cycle over for an evening that will explore the diverse design culture that surrounds and is inspired by the bicycle – from flatland BMX performances, to illustration, film and fashion.

This year, on the 13th of April, the London Tweed Run is celebrating its 5th birthday and Pashley have 2 tickets to give away to 2 lucky people. This is a great little film about the Best of Britannia event that Pashley attended in October. It was a real joy to be exhibiting with other British makers, and in such a wonderful and iconic location.

One of the Angel Riders has just sent Pashley this wonderful video made of this year’s Angel Ride by one of their followers, Stuart Monk. It’s a great little showreel of the last day of the challenge they undertook, riding 800 miles in 8 days on 3 speed Pashley Clubmans! Pashley Cycles will be exhibiting in London at the ‘BOB’ – Best of Britannia – event on the 5th-7th of October (public days 6th & 7th).

Held in the splendid Farmiloe building in Clerkenwell, it will be a great showcase of those companies that still design and manufacture in Great Britain.

Congratulations to all involved in the awakening and journey of Imagineer Productions’ 21st Century Godiva. After a spectacular performance where she was awoken in her home town of Coventry, Godiva has journeyed all the way to London powered by a team of 100 cyclists riding Pashley tricycles, led by British Cycling Champion Mick Ives.

Godiva Awakes is one of a series of 12 public art commissions across the UK created to celebrate the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, funded by Arts Council England. Running on sustainable energy through cycle power it has put the West Midlands on the map, capturing the imagination of the country and the world, with the skill and ingenuity of the region.

Passing through Rugby, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Luton, Hatfield, and Waltham Abbey, it has been an epic challenge for all the cyclists and those involved; very much in tune with the Olympic spirit of courage and determination.
