“Forza La Gamba” – Power in the legs (the bikes helped too)!
Congratulations to Bryce and David who return, conquering heroes from the Brooks L’Eroica (the Hero) ride in Italy. On Sunday 5th October, the lads rode 127 miles (205km) under the Tuscan sun to complete the longest of the 4 available routes. The steeds chosen were Pashley 3 speed GUV’NORs and the boys managed to finish the gruelling marathon in around 14 hours!
We’ve noticed them walking a little funnily since their return, but seriously chaps… WELL DONE!
Check out their travel log from the event for the full story and pictures!

‘Pashley Princess Classic- For those who favour style over speed, this is a beautiful, hand-built bike. The step-through frame means you can cycle in a skirt, while the basket adds to the quaint air. ‘ Read more about the Pashley Princess featuring as one of the Independent’s Top Ten Bikes >
‘ It should also be noted that the High Head Roadster is the only bike on the road that looks good when worn with a suit.’ Visit The Ride Journal’s website >
‘In cities and towns where the riding is easy, the Sovereign offers such a pleasant and endearing ride you’re sure to be smitten for a lifetime–which is how long this Pashley feels like it will last.’

You might think the above headline relates to Pashley’s wonderful new Guv’nor bicycle, and it does, but Pashley’s very own Guv’nor (or Managing Director if you prefer formality) Adrian Williams is at America’s biggest bike show spreading the Pashley word.
See the below links for images, stories and video clips of a little company from over here that is doing rather well over there!
‘People do try and imitate our cycles, especially as the retro market is currently quite large, but nobody can do retro in the same way that we can because they don’t have the same history and heritage that we do. They also don’t have the original drawings from the 1930′s.’ Pashley’s Design Manager.
‘Retro quality and style that you’ll want now [...] The Guv’nor takes a welcome backwards look, to a time of leather and chrome, and beautifully built, lugged steel frames. Forget performance – the Guv’nor is a bike for enjoying the ride.’
(and a Pashley Ice Cream Trike turns up as well!)
Issued with a challenge by Capital Radio to record, edit and release a promo video for their new single ‘Join With Us’ in 24 hours, popular band The Feeling issued Pashley Cycles with a challenge of its own: to build, assemble and deliver 5 Pashley Roadster Classics to the video shoot site.
We did it (just) and so did the band. Their stylish and catchy song video can be viewed at the following link (watch out for the Pashley Classic 33 Ice Creamer in the background!)… The Feeling Video Shoot.
