The Pashley team had the great pleasure of watching The Handlebards perform in summer 2015. Captivated by their ingenious, energetic and slightly bonkers approach to Shakespeare, we wanted to get more involved in supporting this talented group. As a cycle-manufacturing company, Pashley applauds the fact that The Handlebards are fully ‘bike-powered’, touring nationally and internationally using only their cycles to tow or carry everything needed for each performance. We are therefore pleased that The HandleBards will be using Pashley Pathfinder bicycles on their onward journey to bring Shakespeare to a wider audience, engaging imaginations and splitting sides in the UK and further afield.

Pashley cycles are hand-built in Shakespeare’s birthplace, Stratford-upon-Avon; on the 400th anniversary of his death, we are proud to help The Handlebards ensure that Shakespeare’s legacy remains as fresh and relevant as ever.
