Congratulations to Christine Avis and Mylène Baxter who cycled all the way from London to Paris on Pashley Princess Sovereigns.

Christine says… “Everyone told us we were mad to choose bicycles which have only 5 gears. We were set on the idea however, as we were sure we would stand out amongst the many that now travel this route for charity. We certainly had some interested looks during the months of training and during the 3 days of the trip. We cycled a total of 300 kilometres and our Pashleys did us proud: no punctures and no other problems either; we could even sit down at the end of the trip. Most importantly of all, we are well on the way to raising £7000 for Parkinson’s which was the real reason for making this epic journey.” They eventually raised £8,053!

One of Pashley’s own will also be cycling the famous London to Paris route on his Moulton TSR this year, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. John Conod, Sales Executive, hopes to raise at least £1400 for this worthy cause by stretching himself and his legs beyond his usual 9 mile ride to and from work!
