“ALECS” is Pashley’s new Articulating Lightweight Electrically-assisted Cargo Solution, designed to carry cargo on a versatile and customer configurable, multi-functional rear platform.

ALECS has been designed to deliver a low, total cost of ownership. Using carefully selected, high-quality components, it has been tested extensively for robustness and reliability, and has been designed for ease of maintenance with a ‘quick-flip’ access to the under-carriage for servicing. Its narrow width also allows for compact, low-cost storage when not in use, with multiples of five fitting easily in the footprint of a standard UK parking space.
Its unique tilting mechanism (patented design) brings the stability, load carrying and safety benefits of a tricycle whilst providing the agility and handling of a bicycle, making it far more user friendly, safer and accessible for a wide variety of riders. Its articulated frame - and narrow width - allows for easier manoeuvrability in traffic, and its greater cornering stability makes it faster to ride than a conventional cargo trike of the same size.
Designed and made in the UK, ALECS will provide many years of reliable service and is supported by a long-established manufacturer with over 95 years of experience in cargo cycle innovation.
ALECS has been designed for universal use, suitable for riders of height 5ft to 6ft 5" in height. The saddle height can be easily adjusted using one hand - simply pull up the quick-release lever, move the saddle up or down, and push the lever back down to secure.
The maximum saddle height adjustment range is 25cm, providing riders between 150cm and 195.5cm in height a comfortable and safe riding position.

Innovation
Rides like a bicycle but with the stability of a tricycle
ALECS brings the stability, load carrying and safety benefits of a tricycle whilst providing the agility and handling of a bicycle.
The patented tilting mechanism features carbon fibre leaf springs, and provides greater cornering stability (and therefore speed) than a conventional cargo trike of the same size.

Compact
Narrow & Lightweight
The narrow 80cm track width of ALECS allows for it to be easily manoeuvred through street furniture and traffic, and ridden along urban cycle lanes. Its compact size also allows for ease of parking and storage.
With a unladen weight of 85kg, it is also one of the lightest e-cargo trikes on the market.
Optional Extras
Box Light
An interior light can be added inside the cargo box that will automatically activate when the door is opened.
Immobilisation
Various options are available for immobilising the trike. Please contact us to discuss.
Tracking
Vehicle tracking, displayed on a live map, is available for the trike. Please contact us to discuss.
Front Carrier
A heavy-duty, front carrier rack (with a tray insert ) can be fitted to hold an additional 20kg of cargo.
Spare Battery
A spare battery is available and can be kept in the storage compartment behind the cyclist.
High-viz Tape
High visibility tape can be applied to the top and bottom edges of the cargo box (at the rear and sides) if required.
Door Strap
If you wish to limit the amount the rear door of the cargo box can be opened, a door restraining strap can be fitted.
Spare Charger
A spare battery charger can be purchased if you require charging points in more than one location.
