This beautiful leather bag was inspired by William 'Rath' Pashley, the founder of Pashley Cycles, who worked as a despatch rider in the First World War. Characterised by its clean, simple portrait design and carefully hand-finished detailing, the Despatch Bag is hand made from natural full-grain bridle leather and treated with conditioning oils for strength and suppleness. An adjustable strap can be fastened under-arm to prevent the bag from swinging whilst the wearer is cycling, and the shoulder strap features a sliding leather pad to help disperse weight comfortably. A functional, beautiful piece, the Despatch Bag is crafted so that it will improve and mellow with age and use, standing as a fitting tribute to the founder of Pashley.

Aniline dyed, vegetable-tanned bridle leather hand-finished in England with conditioning waxes for strength and suppleness; the appearance will go on improving with age and use.
Care
Lightly wax every 6 months to keep hydrated and protected against moisture. Store in a breathable dust bag when not in use.
Pashley spares, accessories, bags and attire are available for home delivery. We currently only deliver to addresses in the UK and we aim to do so within 3-5 working days (from the date of order confirmation).

The Rath Despatch bag is hand-crafted by expert leather workers just south of Birmingham, a city with a rich heritage of leather working spanning back to the 14th century. In keeping with Pashley’s guiding principles, there is a great emphasis on British design and manufacture - "British Craftsmanship" – throughout our range of accessories, with many of the products using locally sourced fabric and materials as well as being made by British manufacturers.
