Timeless Design, Modern Power
True to Pashley tradition, every curve, lug, and line of the Britannia-E and Briton-E carries forward our signature design language — elegant, balanced, and unmistakably British.
The electric assistance is added subtly, preserving those classic silhouettes while concealing a removable battery and motor so discreet that only the rider knows it’s there. It’s power without compromise — modern capability wrapped in timeless beauty.

Britannia-E
Made in England
Built by Hand, Powered by Innovation
Each Britannia-E and Briton-E is carefully crafted in our Stratford-upon-Avon factory. Skilled frame-builders hand-braze every Reynolds steel tube before fitting the latest Mahle electric systems with the same precision and care that define Pashley craftsmanship.
The result is a bicycle that feels as good as it looks — a true modern classic, built to stand the test of time.
Key Features
Smooth, Protected Gearing
An ultra-low-maintenance three-speed crankset keeps your chainline perfectly clean and your ride effortlessly smooth. The enclosed design shields the gears from the elements, ensuring reliability and simplicity wherever you go.
Refined Electric Drive
At the heart of the Britannia-E and Briton-E is the Mahle X30S system — a quiet, efficient motor that provides seamless assistance whenever you need it.
The removable battery is cleverly disguised in a hand stitched leather carry case to preserve the bicycle's elegant lines.
Tailored Drive Options
Choose between a traditional chain drive or a modern carbon-reinforced belt. The belt option offers whisper-quiet running, no need for lubrication, and minimal maintenance — keeping your excursions clean, smooth, and hassle-free.
Hand-crafted Brooks Comfort
Each bicycle is finished with a Brooks leather saddle, hand-made in Birmingham since 1866. Its natural leather gradually moulds to your shape, creating a personalised seat that only grows more comfortable with time.
All-Weather Confidence
Powerful Shimano hydraulic disc brakes deliver assured stopping power in all conditions — wet or dry — for total peace of mind. Paired with robust and puncture resistant Schwalbe 700c tyres, they offer a confident, composed ride on any road or path.
Beautifully Built in England
Every Pashley frame is hand-brazed from lightweight Reynolds steel tubing in our Stratford-upon-Avon workshop.
This traditional craft gives each bike its signature strength, stability, and unmistakably smooth ride quality.
“It feels just like a classic Pashley — only lighter, smoother, and effortlessly easier to ride.”
"Nothing could quite live up to the Pashley Speed 5. It’s a charming bounder of a bicycle. We suspected that it might be the one we coveted the most, and it is."
"We cycled a total of 300 kilometres and our Pashleys did us proud: no punctures and no other problems either; we could even sit down at the end of the trip."
