The Prospero fuses our iconic classic styling with modern capability, now available in a new low-step design for riders who prefer easier mounting and greater flexibility in everyday use. Whether chosen for comfort, accessibility, or practicality, the low-step frame offers the same refined handling and elegance as the original Prospero — simply with a more accommodating geometry.
Crafted for agility and all-round versatility, every Prospero is built from lightweight Reynolds 631 steel tubing, hand-brazed into a beautifully contoured yet purposeful frame that balances confident performance with long-ride comfort.
Practicality can be elevated with the optional Pashley Porteur front rack — handmade in our Stratford-upon-Avon workshop and capable of carrying up to 6kg of cargo while maintaining the bicycle’s poised handling.
High-volume 27.5” tubeless-ready rims and tyres help the Prospero glide over rougher roads and uneven terrain, providing secure grip in the wet. You can then tailor the ride to your style with a choice of two thoughtfully engineered drivetrains: a spirited 10-speed derailleur model with hydraulic disc brakes, or an 8-speed internal-gear version built around the smooth, reliable Shimano Nexus hub and powerful, low-maintenance roller brakes — an ideal pairing for all-weather city journeys. A classic silver finishing kit, Selle Italia Turbo Heritage saddle, and vintage inspired crankset complete the Prospero’s blend of timeless style and modern-urban capability.
For those seeking a more complete, all-weather setup, the Prospero can be upgraded with painted full-length alloy mudguards, a bright LED headlamp and a sturdy kick-down stand — thoughtful enhancements that make the Prospero ready for wherever the city leads.

The Prospero comes in three frame sizes shown in the table, followed by their corresponding inside leg length range and stand-over height.
The frame size is the distance between the centrepoint of the cycle's bottom bracket (where the pedal arms extend from) and the top of the frame's seat tube (where the seatpost enters the frame).
Leg length should be measured from the sole of your foot to the inner top of your thigh (in inches) - please note that this is a different measurement to your trouser inside leg length. If your inside leg length falls in-between two frame sizes and you are unsure which size is best for you, please visit our Sizing Page for further guidance.
The stand-over height is the height from the ground to the top of the top-tube.

Each bicycle is carefully transported by a dedicated cycle courier, ensuring it reaches you in perfect condition — no tools required, and no large box to dispose of. For our customers overseas, every Pashley is fully built and inspected at our factory before being securely packed into a robust shipping box. This ensures your bicycle arrives safely and in pristine order, ready for straightforward final setup and your first journey on a genuine hand-crafted English bicycle.

Each Pashley bicycle is hand-built to order by our small team of craftsmen in Stratford-upon-Avon. From brazing the frame to the final polish, every detail is completed with care and precision. This dedication takes time — typically 12–14 weeks from the date of order — but ensures that every bicycle leaving our workshop is made to the highest standard.
