The Roadster has a well-deserved reputation as a classic thoroughbred. Originally designed to handle the cobblestones that were once common across Britain and the roughest of country tracks, the traditional 28 inch wheels are paired with a double-sprung Brooks B33 leather saddle that lets you glide effortlessly over terrain in the utmost comfort.
The regal riding position afforded by the classic swept-back handlebars and the relaxed frame geometry makes the Roadster the perfect bicycle for all manner of journeys, whether you commute across town every day or fancy weekend jaunts into the beautiful British countryside. Hop-up onto the Roadster and it becomes clear that the refined elegance of this machine is far more than skin deep. A fully-enclosed chaincase and matching mudguards keep you dry and clean as you glide along, whilst the addition of a coat guard on the rear wheel prevents any mishaps that could otherwise spoil the experience of riding the ‘King’.
The Roadster Sovereign, comes with the full complement of 5 or 8 wide-ratio hub gears, a handy frame-fitted lock and a front dynamo headlamp that never needs batteries. You can be assured that your Roadster will give you years of reliable and, most importantly, pleasurable riding wherever you go.

The Roadster comes in the three frame sizes in the table shown, followed by their corresponding inside leg length range and stand-over height.
The frame size is the distance between the centrepoint of the cycle's bottom bracket (where the pedal arms extend from) and the top of the frame's seat tube (where the seatpost enters the frame).
Leg length should be measured from the sole of your foot to the inner top of your thigh (in inches) - please note that this is a different measurement to your trouser inside leg length. If your inside leg length falls in-between two frame sizes and you are unsure which size is best for you, please visit our Sizing Page for further guidance.
DTT stands for 'double top-tube', where an additional top-tube has been added to the frame.
The stand-over height is the height from the ground to the top of the top-tube. The Roadster has a higher than average top-tube ("stand-over") and bottom bracket height. If your inside leg is at the lower end of a frame-size range, you may need to support yourself on tip-toe when stopping on your bicycle.
